How to use Reasonix with Unquant

Reasonix is built around DeepSeek but takes any OpenAI-compatible provider. Add Unquant and it runs on GLM-5.3-Flash or Qwen 3.8 Flash Next, unlimited.

    Store your key

    Reasonix reads keys from ~/.reasonix/.env, not from your shell. Run reasonix setup, or add the line yourself:

    UNQUANT_API_KEY=your-unquant-key
  2. 2

    Add the provider

    Edit ~/.reasonix/config.toml (a project's own reasonix.toml overrides it):

    config_version = 1
    default_model = "unquant/glm-5.3-flash"

    [[providers]]
    name = "unquant"
    kind = "openai"
    base_url = "https://api.unquant.io/v1"
    model = "glm-5.3-flash"
    api_key_env = "UNQUANT_API_KEY"

    Run Reasonix

    Start reasonix in your project. Its reasoning view shows the models' thinking, returned in reasoning_content.
